Muljibhai Patel Society for Research in Nephro-Urology, Nadiad
The aims and objects for which the society is established are as under :
i) To undertake scientific research in the field of nephrology, urology and their allied basic and applied sciences for better health care of the people suffering from diseases of kidney and urogenital tract, by way of prevention, mitigation, diagnosis etc.
ii. To undertake research programmes related to the above subject for early diagnosis/prevention/care and treatment, investigations clinical and laboratory in the field of nephrology, urology and their allied basic and applied science.
The programmes should be aimed at :
- To develop and assess new techniques aimed for reducing the cost of treatment, early diagnosis, prevention of suffering from disease of kidney and urological tract.
- To develop and assess the efficacy of cheaper Indigenous drugs/newer medicines/diagnostic reagents/equipment, and various dosage schedules of known drugs for better diagnosis, prevention or treatment of commonly prevalent diseases of the kidney and urogenital tract.
- To study pattern of diseases affecting kidneys and urogenital tract; to define the extent and the nature of problem posed by such disease among Indian situations with a view to search the solutions for such problems.
- To develop and assess new instruments for early diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients with diseases of kidney and urogenital tract which result in substantial conservation of foreign exchange by way of import substitution.
- To develop and assess new techniques / methods of reuse of all imported disposable material used in the treatment of end stage disease of the kidney and urogenital tract so as to save substantial foreign exchange and reduce cost of treatment for such patients.
- To strengthen the research and training capabilities in India for the early diagnosis, treatment and control of different groups of disease affecting kidneys and urogenital tract.
- To encourage scientists working in the research society to participate in national/ international conferences, seminars, and symposia.
- To acquire knowledge or technology from any other similar research institution or department or any other organisation to strengthen the research programmes of the society.
- To conduct studies and research both scientific and technical, investigations and Inventions by providing, subsidising, endowing or assisting laboratories.
- To print, publish and exhibit any book, pamphlets, posters or pictures considered desirable or necessary for promotion of the objectives of the society.
- To co-operate with educational & research institutions, universities or laboratories or any other such organisations for the promotion of scientific and technical knowledge useful for the country.
- To procure the society to be registered, recognised and approved by the Department of Science and Technology or any other authority prescribed under 35 (i) (ii) of the income Tax Act. 1961, and the rule 6 of the Income Tax rules, 1966, and amended upto date or other act or acts, rule or rules for the time being in force.
